September – Meet Emma Britton, of BBC Radio Bristol fame. Listen to her every weekday at 06.30 – 94.9FM/104.6FM

I’m not sure how many of Bath WI members are ‘bright eyed and bushy tailed’ at 06.30.  I for one am awake, and by 6.30 should be out running with my faithful dog companion, Basil.  However, since learning that Emma is going to come along to September’s meeting to speak to us, I have been tuning into BBC Radio Bristol on the way to work.

Emma used to run her own business as a fat, fitness instructor so was invited onto the radio to give an interview about her work. That turned into a regular radio spot and that turned into a job! Emma has now worked for the BBC for almost 10 years and really enjoys presenting the flagship programme on the station that coversEMMA RB 2016 MIC (2) Bristol, Bath, North Somerset & South Glos. She’s not so keen on the 3.30am alarm
though! Emma retired from teaching fitness when her
broadcasting career took off and describes herself now as
still fat but definitely not so fit.

So, I recommend that you all try and get ahead of the ‘game’ and tune into Emma to get an insight into her amazing personality and insight into life in Bristol.
