A group of BathWI-ers made their way to London on Monday for a tour of the Palace of Westminster by Ben Howlett, MP for Bath. It was a very kind offer made after he spoke at at one of meetings, and a huge thank you to Hilary for organising the event. The tour took in the Robing Room, Houses of Lords and Commons as well as a visit to the gothic masterpiece that is the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft, and a peek inside the Suffragette cupboard. After a very informative talk with a fantastic insight into the workings of Parliament, the group adjourned for tea on the terrace with Ben in the spring sunshine.
